The Examination Rant

Hola people! We are back with our blogs. Took a looooong break there- Well, we had our exams, which are now thankfully over, but we of course had to make a blog about this too. I am pretty sure you all will be able to relate to this and laugh along the way. On that note, how many of you all have VIVAS, (the oral exams where an external comes up and ask you like 3 questions based on which you get graded)? For those of you who do, I have 2 things to say to you, 1. I sooo get the misery 2. You are gonna like this one. Don’t stop reading. Vivas are like the worst kind of examinations in my opinion, i would rather give 2 extra written tests. I find myself forgetting the answers to questions i already know And when it comes to viva, it is all about LUCK and the MOOD of the external. God forbid you get an external who let’s say, is not a morning person or just had a fight or something upsetting happened, or they’re not just not in a peachy mood. I say, stop stressing because you’re doomed any...

The one without a name

Helluuuu people, back again with some random rants. This time I am not kidding, there is NO theme. That’s why the title- (real reason-  I literally CANNOT come up with a good title 🫡) I have 2 very random incidents to rant about. (no, life is not that happening for me to have extremely new content every month ;) So, the first one is yet again related to something very common- MIND reading. Did you think, internship? Hehe, not ALWAYS! >< So, I was traveling in the metro (minding my own business, might I add), and this random guy came up to me and we started having a conversation (seemed nice at the beginning, was even enjoying the convo a bit), then he asked me what do I do? I told him I am doing my bachelor's in applied psychology. And this is the moment you all guess his reply…………………. Yes, he made the most annoying, cliched and not so FAMOUS joke and said- “oh i hope you’re not reading my mind” Way to ruin a conversation and my mood. I wasn’t really in a good mood since t...

Failed Attempts

Today, let me tell you a story of how we made a new planner, invested a lot of money in it and then, guess what??  You guessed it, it FAILED. Our business started and ended in 2 seconds. Record time? Can we get published in THE book for this? Coz, I mean, we gotta get something out of this. Let’s give you some more details, and as usual you can laugh while I sulk and rant. For starters, for those of you who don’t know, we put up a stall recently in another college and also in our college. We made some customised stickers and a planner specifically for the stall in another college. Okayy,  that’s all the information you need to understand this rant, so let’s get into it. Let me start with a cute incident (a lil context- we were not making any sale) where my friend went like “tum kyu ni khareed re ho. Look at the pretty blue colour ke bulbule. Itne sundar sundar hai”. That’s where we started to lose it. There were times we were on the floor laughing, because all we could do was ...

Witty (nahhhh) Wholesome times

We have been ranting for a while now, so no crying in the blog, instead let’s talk about some wholesome experiences that me and my friends experienced during our internships (don’t run away, I won’t rant, promise XD) Disclaimer: you might see the word “internship” being used again, but I assure you it won’t be ranting ;) Starting with my own personal experience, I had just started interning at the hospital. it had only been 2-3 days, when i was sitting with some other trainees. they were leaving to get some food and just walk around and had asked me to come with them, but I had some other things to take care of due to which I was unable to go with them. So, now I was sitting alone [all by my lonesome :)], and one of the patients came up to me and said something that amazed me, they said "ma'am aap apne friends ke saath kyu nijaa rhe, aap bhi chale jao. mujhe achha ni lgra aapke friends aapko akela chordh gye." That one line there, made me feel 🥺🥺 Similarly, my friend had...

The Universal Rant

…..of psychology students. One thing that ALL psychology students rant about is INTERNSHIPS. Also something you all are entirely tired of listening, reading and hearing by now. So don’t worry, this is not a typical rant regarding internship where we tell you how costly it is and what not. I am pretty sure, you all are pretty up to date on that, if not, then go check out our reels ;) Let me tell you about a funny incident that occured with me, and everyone else couldn’t keep themselves from laughing and apparently still can’t :(  It perfectly sums up how preoccupied we are with the money we spend on our internships. So, this happened a few days back, me and my friend were going to our internship. We usually take the E-rickshaw to get there from the metro station. A lady was already sitting in the e-rickshaw and was going to another hospital. She asked us where we were heading, and we told her the name of our hospital, now she asked us “how much do they charge?”, and my instant respo...

The One Where We Sulk

Ahh! That is what psychology students mostly do, so we thought why not make our content out of it and start something new. With a little more craziness and hope that there will be more visitors to our page, coz a lil benefit doesn't hurt anybody. Let the rant commence…….. Recently I went to a family function and met with a nightmare, sorry I meant relatives ;) Putting 2 and 2 together, yes the relatives were asking me for unsolicited advice yet again. I mean it kind of irks me to explain to everyone that we are not really qualified to treat or provide appropriate advice, we are still in college plus, hello? license?? I used to really have fun when a cousin studying MBBS would get bombarded with all sorts of questions like do I have this, do I have that…. but bro, now I feel you.  Ughh, as usual I ranted to my friend about this, and you guessed it…..she also encountered a similar incident. She got a dm from a long lost friend for advice on how to cope with stress and anxiety ...
